Sound Tracks

SOUND TRACKS
a drama and music project for adults at Edge Hill Station
In September 2010 we are launching a weekly drama group for adults living in Liverpool, with a particular focus on Picton, Kensington and Fairfield, Central, Princes Park, Greenbank and Wavertree wards.
We are looking for 20 people aged 18 and over to join this new group and take part in 'Sound Tracks', a 12-week project that runs on Monday evenings (7pm-9pm) September - November at Metal's newly refurbished space for art at Edge Hill Station, Tunnel Road, L7.

Working with professional practitioners, the group will explore a range of artistic approaches and create a brand new performance based on the theme 'new journeys'.
The project is suitable for anyone with an interest in theatre, music,
dance, art, design, film, photography or even puppetry. You do not need any previous experience to join the group, but you must be available for every session over the 12 weeks.
Participation in the project is free of charge.

'Sound Tracks' is intended to promote positive mental health and wellbeing, and is being funded as part of Liverpool's Year of Health and Wellbeing 2010. Alongside creating an innovative and original performance, participants will meet new people, develop new skills and take on a new challenge.

The Suitcase Ensemble's professional performance work explores ideas about belonging and escape - and how we can sometimes feel a desire for both these things at once. If this is something you can identify with, you should definitely join this group and take part in 'Sound Tracks' - you will get loads out of it!

To register your interest in taking part, email tessa@suitcase-ensemble.com with:
